Now a day the poultry industry is flourishing very much and the use of certain growth promoters is very much useful to increase the production performance in them. The use of Caldivet (a calcium preparation) @ 4ml/L of drinking water (360mg/4ml) increased the egg production in layers significantly as compared to the control birds. The other egg parameters like the egg size, egg volume, eggshell thickness, albumin and yolk volume egg weight were also significantly increased by the use of Caldivet.
